My dad is dying. The doctors say the chemo isn’t worth the sickness it can cause. He will go home next week and the girls and I will go be with him for a while.

I have a lot of thoughts and feelings but I am tired of crying right now.

  1. I am so sorry JoAnn. There are never any comforting words. So I won’t even try. I will be praying for your whole family. And most importantly that your Dad will be embraced in the Father’s arms. I love you girl!

  2. Hey sweet girl! You will never guess what I just found out. My grandmother (my Dad’s Mom) just emailed me(basically to let me know what was going on with your Dad) and in the email I discovered that we are related. Somehow I have missed this bit of information in the past and I am quite surprised now. HEHEHEH!! I figured it up, you are my 6th cousin. HEHEHEHEH!!! Hey, family’s family. Well, you were already my sister in Christ, even closer than that is a bonus. Well, it also hit me that you will be heading down this way to visit your Dad. I have no idea which route you take (or if you are even driving). But, my home is open to you and your family. I just wish I could somehow come see you and help you out with the girls. We live in the Tupelo area so, we’re here if you need us. I will actually be at my parents next week. We’re driving down on Thursday. They are just 2 hours away (and that’s driving slow). We’ll be there till Saturday. If you need some extra hands for anything, call me. Here’s my cell: 662-523-5170 Call anytime. I can only imagine what you’re going through. You are very strong. However, even the strongest of soldiers need a break. I love you and don’t be afraid to take me up on my offers. (I am one who really means it.) Love ya!

  3. My heart goes out to you. My dad is the same age as yours and is going through the SAME exact thing. the Chemo is making him sick, very sick, I am watching him waste away and it kills me.
My heart goes out to you and your family.
